The owner and manager of Luang Prabang River Lodge, Mr Lamphay is originally from Laos' capital, Vientiane. Having studied English at University in Vientiane he embarked upon a career in tourism and hospitality. For ten years he held the post of General Manager for Lang Xang Travel. He decided to follow his heart and made a move to Luang Prabang.
